The Linnie Carter & Associates LLC (LCA) Internship Program was established in May 2011 to give future mass communications professionals opportunities to learn, grow and shine. Unlike many internship programs, this one is paid. The amount of the stipend will depend upon the work performance of the interns.
Individuals selected as interns will work from home, will report directly to the president and CEO of LCA and must be extremely comfortable working in a virtual environment.
The interns will handle a variety of responsibilities, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Develop integrated communications plans
- Develop communication tactics (including news releases, talking points and letters to the editor)
- Edit and proofread materials for print and online media
- Handle social media projects
- Conduct research
Internship periods will last three months. The start and end dates of the internship periods will be determined when applicants are selected for the internship program.
