Dr. Carter Appointed to a Professional Association Communities and Member Engagement Group

Dr. Linnie S. Carter, APR, the president and CEO of Linnie Carter & Associates LLC and a community college vice president, recently was appointed to the Council for Resource Development (CRD) Communities and Member Engagement Group.

​

The group will be charged with helping to guide the establishment of new online communities. Specifically, the group will decide the composition of the new communities, how many communities to establish and how the new communities should be formed.

Dr. Carter Appointed to a Professional Association Advisory Committee

Dr. Linnie S. Carter, APR, the president and CEO of Linnie Carter & Associates LLC and a community college vice president, recently was appointed to the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Center for Community College Advancement Advisory Committee.

​

The advisory committee plays a vital role in informing CASE programs and services for community colleges. It has been instrumental in significantly growing community college membership and engagement of advancement professionals.

​

The professional association is the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations, which, according to its web, “is the only organization of its kind that exclusively represents marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges. As one of the fastest-growing affiliates of the American Association of Community Colleges, NCMPR has more than 1,550 members from more than 650 colleges across the United States, Canada and other countries.”

Dr. Linnie S. Carter, APR, the president and CEO of Linnie Carter & Associates LLC and a community college vice president, recently was a guest speaker at two community college advisory board meetings.

​

She spoke during the Gettysburg Campus Advisory Board meeting at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, on Feb. 20, 2015. On Nov. 13, 2014, she spoke to the HACC York Campus Advisory Board meeting. During both meetings, she discussed the “Top 10 Facts About the HACC Foundation.”

During the meeting, Dr. Carter discussed “Strategies to Engage Students and Employees in Act 101.” She shared ways that Act 101 staff can more effectively involve and connect with students and employees.

Dr. Linnie Carter Participated in a Professional Association Networking Call

During the call, Dr. Carter was one of four facilitators who answered questions for new community college foundation directors about engaging campus leadership in fundraising.

Dr. Linnie Carter Invited to Join College Club of Harrisburg

Dr. Linnie S. Carter, APR, the president and CEO of Linnie Carter & Associates LLC and a community college vice president, was invited to join the College Club of Harrisburg and accepted the invitation.

​

The Harrisburg, Pennsylvania-based organization is comprised of college-educated women committed to community service, education and philanthropy. The organization was founded in 1910. Dr. Carter is the first African-American member of the organization.
